Chapter 35: Chapter 35
I Farm and Plant Trees in the Global Game
[Quality: Blue—Excellent]
[Effect: A portable nursery of 50 square meters. Can be used for temporarily transplanting and storing plants, keeping them alive. While inside, plant growth is paused.]
[Description: The trusty helper of the legendary druid Shaum in his youth.]
A blue-quality spatial item! Even though it could only be used for transplanting plants, it was still a rare treasure for Mu Ying. But… legendary druid?
She wasn’t sure what level “legendary” meant, but it certainly sounded impressive.
When enlarged, the little basket revealed a patch of flat land inside. Mu Ying loved it so much she immediately fastened it to her waist.
After leaving the Oak General Store, Mu Ying returned to her plantation. Remembering what Grandpa Shaum had said, she figured this rain must be something special, so she took out all her stored seeds and began planting them.
She hoped they could all benefit from this rain.
There were so many seeds that she had to plant them a bit densely. Once they sprouted, she could transplant some of the seedlings into the little basket for storage, so nothing would go to waste.
Even so, there were still plenty of seeds left unplanted.
She also used the Claw of Reclamation to collect seeds from the mutated plants in her vegetable garden.
Using her natural senses, she tried to feel the natural energy within the tomato tree. To her surprise, even though it was only a small shrub, the vitality inside it was as active as a ten-year-old tree.
As her senses brushed over it, every leaf of the tomato tree seemed to be dancing, celebrating.

She tried sensing the cucumber vines and greens as well, and they were just as lively and exuberant.
The emotions conveyed by the plants through their natural energy even lifted Mu Ying’s mood.
Plants never lie. If they were this happy, was it really because of the rain?
Unable to resist, Mu Ying took off her bamboo hat and rain cape, letting herself be fully exposed to the rain, imagining she was a tree or a flower, letting the rain soak into her skin.
This time, she naturally entered a wondrous state. Without touching any plant, she could feel the natural energy more clearly than ever before.
It was as if a faint green hue lingered in the rain—the color of nature’s power.
It was everywhere: in the thick tree trunks, the layered leaves, the trembling flowers—the color of life itself.
After a while, the magical sensation abruptly ended, leaving Mu Ying feeling a bit lost and out of sorts, as if she’d suddenly gone from perfect vision to being severely nearsighted.
Sadly, she couldn’t recapture that feeling.
“Did I just see the power of nature?” Mu Ying wondered in surprise. She really had seen it—her eyes had been open.
It wasn’t the pure energy world she saw when using her natural senses, nor was it just the natural power of one or two plants. It was right there, everywhere she looked.
She summoned her player’s handbook, intending to check her adventure log.
[You have received nature’s favor during a special professional training session. Your Natural Sense ability has greatly improved. Gained: Profession Experience ×20. You have reached the experience cap for Level 2, with 3 points of experience overflow.]
[You have met the requirements to level up. Please prepare to upgrade soon.]
“Huh?” She hadn’t expected that. “My Natural Sense improved?”
Mu Ying was so excited she forgot about the level-up prompt and quickly flipped to her attribute panel to check her skill descriptions.
[Natural Sense: Druids can gain power by sensing nature. When other senses are suppressed, you can deeply perceive nature’s power. When your senses are active, you gain Natural Vision.]
Sure enough, the skill description had changed. Now, the skill had two modes of use.
Mu Ying tried them out. The first was much like before: she needed to touch a plant, and during the process, she was oblivious to her surroundings, perceiving only a world of pure energy—but now it was much clearer than before.
If previously she could only sense natural energy as thick as her pinky, now she could sense strands as fine as a hair.
The second mode was similar to the magical state she’d just experienced, though a bit weaker.
By using Natural Sense while staying aware of her surroundings and focusing on a specific plant, she could see tangible natural energy.
In this state, she could only roughly judge a plant’s condition by the color and density of its natural energy—not as detailed as a deep sense, but it was quick, convenient, and safe.
Mu Ying felt like she’d gotten a new toy, happily using her Natural Vision to observe the plants around her. Even though she could only see one plant at a time now, it was still amazing.
So natural energy wasn’t so out of reach after all—it could really be seen!
“Achoo!”
Mu Ying sneezed loudly and rubbed her nose.
The rain was nice, but she couldn’t stay out in it too long—she didn’t want to catch a cold.
Thinking of this, she put her rain cape back on, but her clothes were already soaked, so it didn’t help much.
“Gun Gun, let’s go home before we get sick!”
My fur is thick, I won’t catch a cold. It’s my playful, hairless owner who’s more at risk, Gun Gun thought helplessly.
Gun Gun carefully put the half-eaten bamboo shoot back into his little basket for next time, shook the rain off his rain cape, lifted his chin at Mu Ying, and signaled, Let’s go!
She hadn’t felt cold before, but now that she noticed, the chill quickly seeped into her body. Worried about catching a cold, she hurried home.
After changing into dry clothes, Mu Ying still felt a bit chilly, so she channeled natural energy and patted herself, instantly feeling comfortable again.
She used her newly learned 1st-level spell, Endure Elements, as a personal air conditioner.
Endure Elements allowed her to ignore the surrounding temperature, adapting to both heat and cold.
With it active, the temperature around her always felt just right."
