Chapter 69: Chapter 69

I Farm and Plant Trees in the Global Game

[Function: Spiritual vessel recording all magical knowledge of Green Witch Muying]

[Physical Transformation: Green Witch Muying's magical bloodline]

[Physical Effect: The Witch's Book exists simultaneously in the Emerald World and the real world]

[Source Power Transformation: Not available]

In other words, as long as she possessed the same magical bloodline in the real world, the book could travel with her between the Emerald World and reality, no extra source power needed.

If only her flying broom and wand worked the same way—it would save her so much trouble!

As she infused magic into her wand material, her mind wandered. Channeling magic was becoming second nature to her.

""Hey Muying, our broomgrass has sprouted too!""

By evening, Lillian and Windsor came running over, excited.

""Congratulations! Have you planted them yet?"" Muying asked happily, knowing they'd both been worried.

""We're just about to pick out pots. Want to come? And let me tell you, I almost got tricked by Senior Margarita. If Windsor hadn't also asked Renee, I would have lost at least two broomgrass seeds. Ugh, seniors can be so mean. Thank you, Windsor—love you!""

Lillian immediately started complaining, still shaken by the experience, and even hugged Windsor and gave her a kiss.

Muying had been so absorbed in her Witch's Book that afternoon she had forgotten all about it, so she quickly asked what had happened."

"So it turned out that last year, their mischievous principal forgot to remind the senior students, and it was Senior Margarita who first suggested infusing multiple items at once to save time in case of failure.

She tried to infuse an entire bag of seeds and a bundle of wand wood all at once.

The other seniors did the same, though they were more cautious—at most, they infused three batches of materials at the same time.

At first, everything seemed fine, but just as the materials were about to be fully infused, they started to “fight” with each other. By the next morning, all their materials were ruined.

It was only then that the principal slapped her forehead, as if she’d just remembered, and said, “Materials of the same type infused with a witch’s magic will repel each other. That’s why a witch never owns two brooms or two wands at the same time.”

Senior Margarita suffered heavy losses. The broom and wand she uses now were actually made from materials shared by Senior Rosie.

When Lillian went to ask her about it today, Senior Margarita was evasive and even encouraged her to give it a try herself—probably wanting her junior to experience last year’s fiasco firsthand.

Fortunately, she still had a bit of conscience and specifically reminded Lillian not to use up all her materials at once.

For the next two days, their classes were all about Herbology and History.

Muying was quite interested in herbs, while Windsor only liked the pretty flowers and plants in the herbology atlas, but was actually more curious about the human knowledge in History class.

According to her, she wanted to go to the human world after graduation to find her true love. However, after hearing all of Muying’s cautionary tales, she decided to put more effort into hiding her identity.

Lillian wasn’t interested in any of that. She figured as long as her magic was strong enough, she wouldn’t need to bother with all those twists and turns.

Their broom grass had already mutated after being infused with magic. It sprouted in a day, grew to waist height in three days, and was still shooting up at an astonishing rate.

Their daily fun was comparing how much each of their broom grasses had grown.

Even though they used the same seeds, the broom grasses turned out completely different—almost like three different plants.

Lillian’s broom grass had reddish stems and leaves like clusters of tiny flames. Within a meter radius, the temperature was noticeably higher than elsewhere.

Windsor’s broom grass didn’t need watering at all—in fact, she often had to get rid of excess water to keep it from overflowing the pot, since her broom grass was always covered in droplets.

Only Muying’s broom grass seemed relatively normal: it needed daily watering and fertilizing, with lush green leaves wrapping around the stem like a big oval ball.

“How is yours normal?” Lillian complained, rolling her eyes at how Muying, afraid her broom grass would get burned or drowned, had moved her pot more than ten meters away from theirs.

“Normal broom grass doesn’t bloom, you know, nor does it smell this nice,” Windsor, having gotten more mischievous as they got to know each other, chimed in.

“…”

Muying refused to admit it and tried to change the subject. “Our broom grass is already as thick as two fingers. It should be mature by the week after next at the latest, right?”

At the mention of this, Lillian and Windsor both looked forward to it.

Their wands would probably take another week to form, which meant that starting the week after next, they’d finally be done with endless Herbology and History classes.

Muying was excited too. Around that time, she’d have gathered enough source energy in the Block World, and could start bringing her abilities into the real world.

Lying on her dorm bed, Muying left the trial world in her sleep, her consciousness seamlessly connecting to her real-world body, which was also lying in bed.

To Yuan Gungun and Shi Yin, it just looked like she’d gone to bed and taken a nap.

No one knew she’d just spent three days in another world.

The next morning, she hurried to the Myconid instance to move the spatial core underground in her territory, ushering in a period of peaceful development.

There was still a large area of farmland in the sub-camp’s plantation waiting to be cultivated, so Muying didn’t leave her territory for several days.

Every morning, she’d teleport straight to the plantation, alternating between tending the crops and studying spells.

When she had mana, she practiced magic; when her mana was depleted, she transplanted seedlings from her basket, keeping herself busy and fulfilled.

Meanwhile, in the Emerald World, since her wand and broom weren’t finished yet, she had two straight weeks of only Herbology and History classes. The workload was light, and it had become her place to relax and unwind.

Her daily routine was just hanging out with her girlfriends, eating, drinking, sunbathing, and chatting.

So even though her real life was packed and hectic, Muying didn’t feel tired at all.

Three days passed. Although only half the plantation was planted, she finally emptied her seedling basket.

She’d roughly divided the plantation into five sections: the herb garden, orchard, vegetable patch, woodland, and nursery.

The herb garden was still empty. The orchard had the most plants—all the fruit tree saplings that had mutated from the rain were there. The vegetable patch was the smallest, about the same size as before she moved.

After all, there were only three mouths to feed: herself, Gungun, and the old ox. The figurine Shi Yin couldn’t eat.

So as long as there was enough to eat, she wasn’t looking to make money from these crops.

She’d planted some saplings with signs of mutation in the woodland, while the nursery was still empty—she hadn’t collected seeds from the forest in a while.

Besides that, her professional experience had increased significantly during all this planting.

She was already two-thirds of the way to level 4, pulling ahead once again of those who had been catching up.

She’d also learned two new second-circle spells.

The area attack spell “Moonlight’s Radiance” and the support spell “Spider Climb.”

Moonlight’s Radiance created a zone of light that burned enemies as if by fire, though it wasn’t actually a fire attack—so there was no risk of starting a blaze. The only downside was that its damage wasn’t as high as single-target spells.
