Chapter 139: Magic Academy – Grade One, Part 1

Picking Up Trash in Another World and Bringing It Back to the Apocalypse

“Granny, I have a hyacinth here. Do you know how much it’s worth?”

“What!!”

Mi Zhen was so startled that she almost dropped her teacup. “Your Highness, what did you say?”

“A hyacinth. A purple hyacinth. I’m not sure if it can cover the things I want to buy.”

“Your Highness wants to use such a rare flower to exchange for my things?”

“Yes.”

Sang Chu took out the flower from her storage space, still sealed in ice to keep it fresh.

“Your Highness isn’t joking, right?”

“If I’m taking out something like this, of course I’m not joking. Granny, just appraise it. If it’s worth more, just credit the extra to my card.”

Mi Zhen swallowed nervously. “Well, I don’t have that many crystals on hand. Your Highness, how about this: why don’t I transfer this shop to your name? Once I get more crystals from the academy, I’ll pay you the rest, and you can transfer the shop back to me?”

“No need for all that trouble. Actually, I’ve been thinking of doing some business myself. Granny, just let me use the shop for a month, and don’t worry about the extra crystals.”

Mi Zhen: “Your Highness, you’re too generous.”

“It’s nothing. If you agree, I’ll just rent your shop for a while. You can still use it as usual, just leave me a little space.”

At this, Mi Zhen finally smiled in understanding. “Your Highness, you’re so kind. You’re worried I won’t have any income, aren’t you? Don’t worry about me. I’m a teacher at the Star Academy. I don’t have many classes, so I just come here to sit sometimes. You can treat this place as your own. If you don’t want it, you can just rent it to me. The things inside aren’t worth much anyway. If you like anything, just take it. Here’s the key. The second floor has a bedroom, so you can stay here if you like—it’ll be more convenient.”

“Thank you, Granny.”

After Mi Zhen handed the key to Sang Chu, she became even more amiable. “I should be the one thanking Your Highness. This purple hyacinth—only the City Lord’s mansion has one in the whole city. I was just lucky to see it today. Your Highness, I’m afraid I can’t repay you enough.”

“It’s a fair trade. If that’s all, I’ll go find my brother now. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to move in.”

“Anytime is fine. The second floor has a cultivation room. There’s an hourglass inside that can control the flow of time. If you want to cultivate, you can go in. Here’s the key. If you want to slow down time and extend your cultivation, just put the hourglass in the magic circle and you’ll be able to control it. It’s very convenient.”

“Thank you.”

Mi Zhen held the hyacinth in her hands, smiling. “Your Highness is too polite. If you have any flowers and want to exchange them for crystals, it’s best to go to the Witch Academy and find the Dean.”

“The Witch Academy?”

Sang Chu frowned slightly. Wasn’t that the place both Na and Muxue were wary of?

Mi Zhen smiled. “Don’t worry, Your Highness. The Dean of the Witch Academy may be a bit eccentric, but since I’m recommending you, he won’t harm you.”

She wouldn’t say this to just anyone, but Sang Chu gave her a good feeling—generous, unafraid of losing out, and with a certain aura. The Dean of the Witch Academy would like someone like her.

Mi Zhen glanced at the hyacinth in her hand and added, “My shop is small, not many people come, but it’s quiet. As for the Witch Academy, nobody dares mess with them.”

They were the real local power!

Sang Chu said, “Alright, I understand. I’ll go find the Dean of the Witch Academy.”

“Wait, Your Highness, take this with you. Just say you’re there on my behalf.”

Mi Zhen handed her a nameplate, with a hyacinth engraved on the front and Mi Zhen’s name on the back. “What’s this?”

“It’s my identity token. Anyone at the entrance will know you’re there to see the Dean on my behalf. When you meet him, just trade directly. With enough crystals, Your Highness can go to the slave market to trade!”

“Thank you, Granny. I’ll go now.”

“Take care, Your Highness. I’ll head back to the academy. If you need anything, you can contact me.”

“Alright.”

After gathering her things, Sang Chu left the shop. Only when she saw her balance on her card drop to zero did she finally relax.

But…

She looked at the Witch Academy with its white walls and hesitated.

She wasn’t sure if what the old lady said was true, but if it was, then trading with the local powers using flowers might be a big deal.

To the people of this world, these flowers were just ordinary items, but to those from the Magic Academy and others, they seemed to have some special power.

After hesitating for a long time, Sang Chu finally walked toward the Witch Academy.

Witch Academy

“Respected Your Highness, what kind of witchcraft are you looking for?”

Sang Chu showed the attendant Mi Zhen’s token. “I want to see the Dean.”

The attendant was stunned. What was the Dean’s wife up to now?

Why would a royal from Rose City come to the Witch Academy?

If the secrets here were discovered, what would happen?

The attendant was nervous, but since the lady had given the order, she couldn’t refuse. “This way, Your Highness. I’ll take you to the Dean.”

“Thank you.”

Dean’s Office

“Dean, are you there?” The attendant knocked, showing Mi Zhen’s token through the door.

“Come in!”

A deep voice came from inside, and the door opened instantly.

The attendant looked at Sang Chu. “Your Highness, please.”

Sang Chu nodded and walked in.

The Dean of the Witch Academy, Wu Qi, was older than Mi Zhen, with a hunched back and small, sharp eyes. The whole person gave off a sinister vibe.

His gaze was as cold as a snake’s as he looked at Sang Chu. “That old woman is up to something again!”

Sang Chu smiled slightly and took out three flowers—Heavenly Star, Rose, and White Camellia—each sealed for freshness, and placed them in front of Wu Qi. “Dean, Granny said if I have flowers, I can trade them here, so I brought these three. I’d like to know how many crystals you can give me.”

Wu Qi instantly turned into a shadow and appeared in front of Sang Chu, snatching the flowers and inhaling their fragrance greedily.

Sang Chu saw clearly that the scent was actually being absorbed into his body, and the dark aura around him faded.

But in just a moment, the darkness returned, even thicker than before!

These flowers could quickly restore and enhance magic!

Sang Chu was shocked but kept her smile as she looked at Wu Qi.

He put the flowers away, satisfied. “I can only give you three hundred.”

Three hundred?

Well, that made sense. For ordinary people, these flowers were priceless, but for mages, they were just pretty things.

Wu Qi had originally planned to get angry and was thinking about how to quietly get rid of her, but Sang Chu simply said, “Thank you, Dean. I have more, but they’re not on me right now. If you need them, I can bring them tomorrow or whenever you need.”

“No wonder that old woman dared to send you here. Bring as many as you have. Also, if you have anyone who needs treatment, you can bring them to the Witch Academy. I’ll arrange for someone to see them. No one will dare to stop you.”

“Thank you, Dean. I’ll let her know. The Witch Academy is a place for healing—there’s nothing to be afraid of.”"
