Chapter 141: The Magical Grand—Small Shop

Picking Up Trash in Another World and Bringing It Back to the Apocalypse

When Sang Chu walked out of the room, she was alone. Yi Ping’s eyes were wide open: [Where did everyone go?]

[They went to collect the cards. Tonight, I’ll take you to the slave trading market. If there’s any magic you want to buy, you can get it. I have plenty of blank cards you can use.]

Yi Ping: [Wow, this is amazing! Sis, can I become one of those “ticket holders” with you?]

[Only those with spiritual power can do it. If you want to, you’ll have to work hard to cultivate your spiritual strength. Maybe it’ll be possible.]

At that, Yi Ping deflated: [Alright then.]

Sang Chu put away the cards. Liu Shi didn’t say anything on the way out. Since the Dean didn’t want her dead, and even sent someone to protect her, it meant Sang Chu was more valuable than anyone else in her group—maybe even more valuable than those other people.

Otherwise, with the Dean’s personality, these outsiders wouldn’t have survived another day.

“Brother, have you packed up your things?”

Sang Jingwen nodded slightly. Lu Minli, holding the drowsy Mu Xue, stood up, and they all walked toward Sang Chu.

“Are we leaving now?”

“Yeah, let’s go.”

When they reached the entrance, Liu Shi stood by the road and said, “I respectfully send off Your Highness and the others. Welcome back next time.”

Watching his back, Ke felt like he’d survived a disaster. He hurried to tell his companions. Originally, Su Mihang was waiting at the inn’s entrance, ready to ambush, but Ke said Liu Shi was right beside them, protecting them!

“Go, go, let’s go, hurry up!!!!”

Ke said Liu Shi had already headed toward the main road. If they didn’t believe him, they could check, but he’d already been lying in wait here!

Everyone who heard Ke’s words ran away in panic, afraid that if they were a step too slow, they’d die at Liu Shi’s hands!

Liu Shi’s reputation was that if he made a move, someone would definitely die!

Sang Chu arrived at the carriage outside. The ambushers must have already fled. “Thank you, Lord Liu Shi!”

“Your Highness is too polite. It’s nothing at all!”

Sang Chu smiled. “But Lord Liu Shi’s presence here is already enough to make people swear off trouble. No wonder the Dean wants you to follow me. From now on, my safety in Flower Town will depend on you, Lord Liu Shi!”

Liu Shi didn’t answer directly, but said, “I act on the Dean’s orders. The Dean only asked me to protect Your Highness for five days. Please understand.”

“Don’t worry, my value is more than just this. The Dean will see that in time. Let’s go. Before it gets cold tonight, I want to stop by the little shop.”

She and Liu Shi walked ahead. The others didn’t understand, so they messaged her:

[Little sis, do you have some kind of deal with that guy? Is it dangerous?]

[Don’t worry, brother, it’s not dangerous. He’s here to supervise me, but also to protect me. With him around, nothing will happen to us in this town. You can all focus on your training.]

As they walked to the magic shop in the rice market, only then did Sang Jingwen and Yi Ping realize just how valuable Sang Chu’s “best protection” really was.

Those who had been lurking in the shadows since they arrived at the inn all disappeared without a trace!

Lu Minli: [I feel safe now, but he said it’s only for five days. Sang Chu, is there any way to extend it?]

Sang Chu: [Don’t worry, I’ve already set things in motion. Just relax, nothing will happen.]

Lu Minli was still worried, but after thinking about it, she realized Sang Chu wouldn’t put so many people in danger, so she let out a sigh of relief.

They opened the door to the magic shop. Inside, it was eerily quiet. There was a bell and a note on the table.

The note reminded her about the cold night, saying that from sunset to moonrise, the big shop would stay closed. She should wait until the wind on the roof stopped before going out, or wait until the moon was high in the sky.

Finally, it reminded her to always keep the crystal lamp lit at night.

There were daily-use items. As long as she went out, she should take the lamp. If she felt the little elves were around, she could turn it off, but the suggestion was to keep it on all the time.

Sang Chu trusted the old lady’s words more now.

If Mi Zhi hadn’t told her to go see the Dean and show her value, she probably wouldn’t have survived the night.

Following the instructions, Sang Chu shook the bell. This time, it felt different from the inn.

Mi Zhi said she’d already communicated with the shop’s elves, so Sang Chu needed to perform the summoning ritual again.

After a series of steps, Sang Chu’s senses suddenly sharpened. She could hear all sorts of sounds, then everything went quiet again.

Now, standing in the shop, she could clearly sense everything nearby, even the sound of the crystal lamp on the roof.

The sound was soft, like a gentle melody—very nice.

The lights in the shop lit up automatically. Some of the elves floated to Sang Chu, some to Lu Minli and Mu Xue, and some drifted to the second floor.

Whether they came to her or went to the play area, Sang Chu could see it all clearly. It was amazing!

She wanted to bring all these things back to her base!

Liu Shi reminded her, “It’s getting cold. Why not light the fireplace?”

“Alright.”

Sang Chu didn’t know magic, but she could use the bell to direct the crystal elves to light the fireplace, which then ignited itself to keep them warm.

Mu Xue stared wide-eyed. She really wanted to bring all this back to her base. It was so much fun!

Lu Minli, standing beside her, smiled dotingly and patted her head, messaging: [If you want it, ask Ah Chu later. But I’m afraid I’ll have to learn magic first.]

Mu Xue nodded eagerly. She really wanted to learn—it was so much fun!

By the fireplace

A teapot and a group of little teacups floated to the table, and a small elf put a cover over the teapot, pouring tea for them.

The teapot spoke in an old voice: “Your Highness, would you like some tea?”

“Yes, please serve a little more.”

The teapot replied, “The previous shop owner was a vegetarian, so there’s only some noodles left in the kitchen, no meat for now.”

“What about the usual food?”

The teapot explained, “Usually the little elves go out to buy ingredients. When it’s time, they’ll bring them back. The crystal elves are responsible for cooking.”

“Then just cook whatever you have.”

The teapot responded, “Understood. Your Highness, please enjoy your tea. Dinner will be ready soon.”

Mu Xue looked at Lu Minli with shining eyes: [So smart! This is amazing, just like a magic movie!]

Lu Minli looked at her helplessly: [Xiao Xue, wipe your drool, it’s about to drip out!]

Mu Xue glared at her, then looked eagerly at Sang Chu.

Sang Chu: [We’ll go to the trading market tonight. If they have it, you can buy it.]"
