Chapter 176: The Grand Magic—C
Picking Up Trash in Another World and Bringing It Back to the Apocalypse
C and Saih walked at the front, surrounded by towering Earth Guardians.
“Huh? Isn’t this…?”
C was now certain that Saih hadn’t secretly switched allegiances. The mastermind behind the scenes had finally revealed themselves, and could even make all the witches and Earth Guardians obedient. That was not something just anyone could do.
And their signature move was the rose.
Saih glanced back at C and said, “You still haven’t figured out who I belong to?”
C was dumbfounded. Did that mean…?
He glanced at Saih, then glared at him with a sigh, “Why didn’t you say so earlier? Now I’m stuck here with you.”
Saih couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “Didn’t I tell you to leave? You insisted on staying, so don’t blame me! Besides, do you know how many witches and witch hunters are lurking around here?”
“No idea, probably quite a few. After all, the crystal rewards are generous. So what? Is there a problem?”
Saih smiled with a hint of mischief. “I just want to see how many fools will run straight into our trap.”
C looked at Saih nervously. “Wait, wait, are those people up ahead…?”
“Mhm~”
Seeing Saih’s sly smile, C gave him a thumbs up, “You’re really something…”
But before he could finish, a thought struck him and he suddenly lowered his voice, “But people don’t have to just walk into the trap, right? I bet the master is short on manpower behind the scenes.”
Saih’s eyes sparkled as he tapped his long nails. “I think you’re right.”
“So, shall we keep moving?”
“Let’s go!”
As they walked out of the Dark Weasel Forest, Saih made sure to release his magical aura to attract others.
Tu You originally wanted to go back and stay with Sang Chu, but he couldn’t rest easy knowing these two were up to something, so he hopped onto C’s shoulder. “I need to catch orgx_dark weasels in the forest, so if you’re going to cause trouble, make sure it doesn’t delay my business!”
C patted his chest confidently. “Don’t worry, boss! I guarantee it!”
Tu You rolled his eyes. If you were really reliable, you wouldn’t have run into trouble alone.
But he didn’t say anything more. After all, he didn’t trust Sang Jingwen, but with Sang Chu around, C had at least hitched his wagon to her. She was short on muscle, especially strong muscle!
“Be careful, C. Ah Chu is in closed-door training. If you get her involved, heh…”
C was startled by Tu You’s warning—he valued his life. Even the Earth Guardians were obedient now; he wouldn’t dare mess around.
“Don’t worry, boss! I absolutely won’t mess with the master’s people!”
Saih felt he couldn’t even look at C anymore. He walked on in silence, when suddenly, there was a commotion up ahead. C’s eyes lit up and he smirked, “Wait here, I’ll go see which idiot dares ambush me!”
Saih grabbed him. “Are you stupid? The master wants everything to go smoothly! If you die, it’s no big deal, but don’t delay the master’s business!”
Tu You: “Enough, Doggie, you and the Earth Guardian go clear out the ambushers up ahead. As for the witches, do as you please.”
“Roar roar~~”
The Earth Guardian on the left charged ahead, and in the blink of an eye, the ambushers were all trampled underfoot. C, a little disappointed, followed Tu You forward.
All the witches were pinned under the Earth Guardian, unable to move.
C looked at their sorry state and couldn’t help but wonder: Is the master really going to take all the dark witches under her wing?
Tu You was satisfied, but unfortunately, he didn’t have many magic cards left—only about ten. “Hey, C, do you have any blank magic cards on you?”
C said helplessly, “Dark witches can’t buy from proper shops. On the black market, magic cards are sky-high. I can’t afford them.”
“Fine, then I’ll just take the five strongest ones. You and your buddies can have the rest.”
“No, no, I have cards, I have cards! Don’t eat me! I’ll give you all my cards!”
The captured witch hurriedly pleaded, terrified that if he was too slow, the Earth Guardian would eat him.
Tu You stretched out his chubby little hand. “Hand over the cards.”
“You—you have to promise not to let it eat me!”
“That depends if your cards are high-level. If you give me low-level cards that can’t contract witches, I’ll lose out.”
The dark witch fell silent, head bowed. The Earth Guardian, afraid Tu You would change his mind and let it eat people, gulped them all down in one bite!
Tu You: “Seriously, you’re hopeless.”
“All you know is eat, eat, eat! Even if his cards aren’t high-level, they’re still useful! What’s your rush? You think I’m starving you?”
“ROAR—”
The Earth Guardian was suddenly scolded, froze for a moment, then roared at Tu You in rage. A huge wave of magical power surged from its mouth, shaking the mountains.
C was blown away by the blast, tumbling until he clung to a big tree, looking like a ragdoll, completely disheveled.
Tu You narrowed his eyes, flicked his whip, and lashed it across the Earth Guardian’s back.
“Awooo…”
The Earth Guardian shivered in pain, looking at Tu You in terror. When Tu You transformed into his human form, dressed in white with bells at his waist, the Earth Guardian was even more terrified.
It shrank in fear, its huge body curling into a ball.
Tu You: “Don’t do it again. If you mess up next time, I’ll whip your soul into oblivion—you won’t even make it to the underworld!”
The Earth Guardian nodded frantically, not daring to meet Tu You’s gaze. Only when Tu You put away his whip did it crawl over and prostrate itself at his feet.
Tu You’s heart ached as he realized he was a bit out of sorts. He quickly turned back into a rabbit and hopped onto C’s shoulder. “Let’s go back.”
The Earth Guardian watched Tu You leave, then returned to its post, looking like a devout servant.
Saih stared at the whip marks on the Earth Guardian’s back in shock. “Were the ambushers up ahead really that strong? They even managed to hurt the Earth Guardian?”
The Earth Guardian glared fiercely at Saih, then returned to its place, looking like a pious servant.
Saih looked at the battered C. “What happened to you? Seriously, what was up ahead?”
“Nothing, nothing. Let’s just get on with our business. Our boss is not to be trifled with!”
“That whip mark—was it from that rabbit?”
Saih’s question made the Earth Guardian glare at her again. She shrank back, but the Earth Guardian stayed put, so she quietly sidled up to C. “Seriously?”
“Yeah, it just ate someone, and the boss got mad. She pulled out a weird whip, and after one lash, the Earth Guardian wilted. Even things that scare the Earth Guardian aren’t something you or I can handle. If you’re thinking of messing with Sang Chu, you’d better not.”
Saih, caught out, muttered, “I—I wasn’t thinking anything!”
“You’d better not be.”"
