Sang Jingwen said, ""Xue, if I keep everyone here, how would I know if he's alive or dead?""

Lu Minli replied, ""Wen-ge is right. As long as we don't let anyone go, the news will be whatever I say it is. At first, nearby ability users will come looking, but once they realize they can't win, they'll go find Wu Feng, who's already dead.""

""Boss, have you heard about the bombing in New City?""

Wu Feng nodded. ""Yeah.""

Zhu Lin grinned slyly, ""Boss, this photo of Sang Chu is from the man who caused the explosion. They say she has a lot of new weapons, and more importantly, that man has the latest research results from Dr. Gao, a Tier 4 ability user.""

Wu Feng: ""Are you sure?""

Zhu Qiang: ""Boss, it's true. All the bases know about it now. Dr. Gao even put a bounty on Sang Chu—one hundred crystal cores.""

Wu Feng's eyes widened. ""A hundred crystal cores? Does he really have that many?""

Zhu Lin: ""Boss, who cares if he does or not? The point is what Sang Chu has in her hands.""

Zhu Qiang: ""Sang Chu left from our base. All her stuff should be ours. If we can get our hands on it, we won't have to stay stuck in this tiny place anymore!""

Zhu Lin: ""Exactly, boss. Just think—if Sang Chu's stuff can destroy New City, it must work on ability users too. If I get it, I won't have to keep hiding like this.""

Hidden in the shadows, Lu Minli, Sang Jingwen, and their group watched him from a distance. Yi-ge looked at Lu Minli, then quietly said, ""He wants to hurt Mu Xue. If he tries, I'll blow him up.""

Sang Jingwen and Yi-ge both felt a twinge of pain just thinking about it.

Lu Minli: What should we do now?

Sang Jingwen looked at Wu Feng, then quickly typed on his communicator: I'll go protect Sang Sang. Wu Feng has a way to get to Haishi quickly, so don't let your guard down. I'll head back right away.

Sang Chu, having received the message, was standing on a hill watching the construction robots build houses.

""My brother said Wu Feng is up to something. I need to warn Grandma. Where is she?""
