Chapter 71: Demon Realm – The Fox Clan’s Livestock Pens
Picking Up Trash in Another World and Bringing It Back to the Apocalypse
“Great!”
The little rabbit, Tu You, hurriedly made his way to the territory of the Fox Clan.
“Did you hear? Lady Nana secretly brought back a whole bunch of pheasants.”
“Pheasants? You mean the kind raised on spiritual grass?”
“Yeah, that’s right. Ever since the Demon King sealed off the demon realm, it’s been hard for the little ones to get any pheasant to eat. So the King just tore open a rift and sent some over.”
“The King is so nice!”
“Isn’t he? I’m so jealous!”
Groups of little foxes gathered in threes and fives, chattering endlessly about the pheasants, not even knowing where they were headed. Tu You found the topic fascinating.
There was nowhere in the demon realm that actually sold poultry. Even if you wanted to buy some, there was nowhere to do it. All the major demon clans raised their own livestock and never sold any. If you wanted to eat some delicious meat as a guest, you’d be out of luck.
Everyone just kept their own supplies to themselves.
The more Tu You listened, the brighter his eyes became. He even forgot about the plan to steal weapons for a moment.
He sniffed around, following the scent in the air, and soon found the Fox Clan’s livestock pens.
[Ah Chu, Ah Chu, the Fox Clan is raising so many animals!]
There were several pens for the pheasants, some with brooding hens, and even a huge nine-foot-tall rooster strutting around and crowing.
Nearby was a large pond filled with all sorts of fish, making Tu You’s eyes go wide with excitement!
Everything was kept alive and well. Tu You had to tell Sang Chu—these living creatures could all be stored in the jade spatial device!
When Sang Chu saw the synchronized view of the livestock pens, she couldn’t help but swallow.
She’d thought it was impossible to get live animals anymore, but who would have thought there’d be so many here!
After observing the layout of the livestock pens, Sang Chu quickly gave instructions:
[Little Bunny, try to get all of them into the jade spatial device. I’ll have Little Guang (the AI robot) build a livestock pen inside.]
Sang Chu gave the order, and the AI robot in the jade space immediately got to work, calculating the space needed and quickly using energy to construct a livestock area.
Tu You and Sang Chu shared their view of the demon realm, so they could both see what was happening.
Once Little Guang finished building the livestock pen, Tu You immediately stuffed all the animals he could find into the space.
Luckily, there was no one guarding the livestock, or stealing them would have been much harder.
“Huh?”
Tu You suddenly let out a surprised cry. Before Sang Chu could ask what happened, Tu You had already run into a storeroom.
“Wow!”
“Oh my god!!”
Both Sang Chu and Tu You exclaimed in shock. Inside the huge storeroom were piles of chicks and eggs, as well as heaps of rice, corn, soybeans, and some cabbage seeds.
All of it was soaking in spiritual spring water, almost ready to sprout!
Tu You: [We’re rich, Ah Chu! I’m going to be the wealthiest in the apocalypse!]
Sang Chu nodded. These seeds didn’t look as withered as the ones in the mutated world; they seemed quite normal, just with a higher spiritual value.
[Hurry, Little Guang! As soon as you get the seeds, plant the rice and corn right away!]
Sang Chu immediately ordered Little Guang to start planting rice. The rice in the mutated world was glutinous, which she didn’t like much. She preferred firmer rice and hoped the demon clan’s spiritual rice would taste better!
The robot Little Guang was almost buried by the flood of things Tu You tossed into the space.
Its chubby little body struggled out from under the pile of seeds, its voice trembling slightly: [Master, the rabbit just threw in so much stuff at once!]
Sang Chu was momentarily dazed. Why did it feel like Little Guang was becoming more human after entering the spatial device?
Maybe she was overthinking it. She shook her head and dismissed the thought: [Thanks for your hard work, Little Guang.]
[It’s no trouble! I’ll get the spiritual rice planted right away!]
The voice sounded the same as before, but Sang Chu could sense a hint of excitement in it—like the AI was really developing consciousness!
Sang Chu felt a little uneasy. Maybe she’d read too many stories about AIs turning on their masters after gaining sentience. She was a bit worried.
Little Guang busied itself in the space, planting the spiritual rice in the fields, looking quite diligent. Sang Chu wondered if she was just being paranoid.
Tu You wandered around a bit more and finally found a cellar, but there was no way in.
[Ah Chu, there are wards all around this place. I can’t get in!]
Sang Chu: [What about your armpit fur?]
Tu You’s eyes widened as he realized what she meant: [Oh, right! My armpit fur can turn into particles and fuse with other objects. I can do it, just watch me.]
Sang Chu: [Okay, do as you see fit. I’m going to meditate and train my spiritual power for about ten minutes, so I won’t be able to help. If anything happens, just make your own decisions!]
Tu You: [Okay, got it!]
After finishing the conversation, he used his ability to slip right in.
“Who would’ve thought, no matter how tight your defenses, you can’t guard against high-tech tricks! Hahaha!”
Tu You laughed gleefully, emptied out the whole cellar, and when he finally got his hands on the explosive talismans, he grinned mischievously.
“Ah Chu said not to attack the main formation, so I’ll just stir up a little trouble elsewhere.”
With a sly smile, he immediately tossed out the talismans he’d grabbed.
As soon as he finished hiding, he triggered the explosion.
The Fox Clan’s leader was the first to arrive at the scene. “What happened? Who dares to steal from the Fox Clan?!”
The furious roar made Tu You shudder, but in the next second, he slipped away.
Next stop: the Heavenly Wolf Clan!
Unfortunately, the Heavenly Wolf Clan didn’t have any magical artifacts—just wolf pelts and fangs.
Tu You, true to his thrifty nature, even took all the discarded junk and scraps—he wasn’t leaving a single bit behind!
His spatial device was huge, plenty of room for everything, so he could be as greedy as he wanted!
When the Heavenly Wolf Clan’s chief saw the empty livestock pens, he was so furious he could barely speak. “Are you all dead? So much stuff was stolen, and you didn’t even put up a fight!”
“Chief, I…”
“Chief, right now the priority is to catch the thief who stole the spiritual rice. The Fox Clan lost a lot too. Let’s go talk to their chief and figure out how to catch the culprit together.”
“Luoluo, go call your uncle!”
“Okay, I’ll go right away!”
Lang Luo turned and left. Lang Ao looked at the chief and said, “Father, could this be the work of the Heavenly Palace?”
“No, that old guy was seriously injured by me and the Fox Clan leader. There’s no way he has the ability to move unseen. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have needed the Sea Clan to save him when he was dying.”
“But I still think this might have something to do with him…”"
