Chapter 101: Should I Look Forward to This?

Reborn in the Eighties: Remarrying a Soldier

When Mrs. Fu got out of the car, Mrs. Qin immediately came up to greet her. “In-law, come on in!”

Mrs. Fu hadn’t expected there to be so many guests at the Qin house, and she was a bit nervous.

Luckily, she didn’t embarrass herself.

“—Alright!”

Both mothers-in-law were attractive women.

After all, to have a daughter as beautiful as Fu Mingxue, Mrs. Fu’s own features were naturally quite striking.

In the past, she’d been too busy making ends meet, and as a widow, she never bothered to dress up.

Otherwise, the gossip and rumors from others would have been enough to drown her.

But today was her daughter’s big day, so she made sure to dress up nicely.

Not only was her hair neatly combed without a single stray strand, but her clothes were also brand new.

She even put on some of the snow cream her daughter gave her, and her whole demeanor was completely different.

Standing next to Mrs. Qin, she didn’t lose out in the slightest.

The twins were each carried inside by one of the mothers.

The wedding at the Qin house was actually kept simple.

Their family couldn’t afford anything too extravagant—

Even so, with so many guests, the courtyard still had over a dozen tables set up.

After Qin Wenhuo entered the house, he let go of Fu Mingxue’s hand.

He led her to the elders seated at the place of honor—his grandfather and grandmother.

“Wife, these are Grandpa and Grandma.”

“Hello, Grandpa, Grandma!” Fu Mingxue greeted them gracefully.

The two elders were delighted.

They immediately handed her a red envelope.

“Granddaughter-in-law, take this.”

Fu Mingxue accepted it with a smile. “Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma!”

Qin Wenhuo then took her to meet his parents.

This was also Fu Mingxue’s first time meeting Mr. Qin.

He looked at her, visibly moved. “Good child!”

Fu Mingxue knew her father-in-law was thinking of her own late father.

“Dad, Mom!”

Both Mr. and Mrs. Qin gave her a red envelope as well.

When Fu Mingxue accepted them, she could feel how thick and generous they were.

She then met the other elders of the Qin family and relatives from Qin Wenhuo’s uncle’s side, one by one.

Fu Mingxue received so many red envelopes her hands were almost sore.

By the end of the wedding, she was both exhausted and starving, sitting on the bed in Qin Wenhuo’s room.

Her mother had already left after the banquet, taking the twins with her.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. “Mingxue, open up, it’s me.”

Hearing her mother-in-law’s voice, Fu Mingxue immediately went to open the door.

She was surprised to see her mother-in-law holding a bowl of noodles. “Mom, this is—?”

Mrs. Qin said, “Mingxue, I noticed you didn’t eat much. I asked Aunt Li to make these noodles for me. Have some.”

“Thank you, Mom!” Fu Mingxue hadn’t expected her mother-in-law to be so thoughtful.

“No need to thank me, just take it inside and eat.”

“Okay!” Fu Mingxue took the bowl.

Mrs. Qin didn’t stay long and left right away.

Fu Mingxue found the noodles quite delicious. Not only was there an egg, but also a big piece of meat.

Just as she was finishing up, Qin Wenhuo pushed open the door and walked in.

“Are you done eating? I’ll take the bowl out.”

“—Okay!”

“If you want to wash your face, there’s a bathroom in this room. Just go in and wash up. I’ll come up later.”

“It’s fine, you go take care of the guests. Don’t worry about me.”

Fu Mingxue was pretty nervous. She remembered he’d said they’d be a real married couple now.

So, she didn’t know whether to look forward to what was coming or to be nervous about the night ahead.

Either way, at this moment, she was secretly hoping Qin Wenhuo wouldn’t stay in the room, so she could have a moment to herself.

Qin Wenhuo glanced at her, then took the bowl and left."
