Chapter 171: Public Execution

Natural Disasters and the End of the World, She Went Crazy After Stocking Up on Supplies

An Nan stretched out her foot and stomped hard on Li Guifen’s hand, grinding it mercilessly.

Li Guifen howled in pain, but she still stubbornly kept her head up, refusing to eat.

An Nan yanked her hair, lifting her head up, and whispered in her ear, “Old hag, can you guess why there are so few residents in this building?”

Li Guifen’s scalp tightened from the pain. “They… they were all killed by the disasters.”

An Nan chuckled softly. “Nope!”

She pulled out a triangular bayonet from behind her and stabbed it viciously into Li Guifen’s shoulder. “I killed them all.”

“Ah!!!”

The wound on Li Guifen’s shoulder had only just healed, but with this brutal stab, it was instantly torn open again, blood and flesh mangled, making her break out in a cold sweat from the pain.

And the knife in this young girl’s hand bled her even faster than the pig-slaughtering knives back in her village. In just a few seconds, a good amount of blood was already flowing out.

Only now did Li Guifen finally realize that this pretty young girl was the real ruthless one.

She thought back to the handful of residents in this building, then looked at the smile on An Nan’s lips, and felt a chill run down her spine.

This girl wasn’t lying—she really could kill…

Li Guifen quickly recognized the situation. “Don’t—don’t kill me! I’ll eat!”

Only then did An Nan pull out the bayonet and give her a shove forward.

Li Guifen clutched her wound and crawled on the ground, inching toward the pile of feces she herself had made.

At that moment, she was filled with regret—why did she have to go out of her way to pull down her pants and take a shit? Now she had to reap what she sowed!

The stench hit her in the face. She opened her mouth, but hesitated, not knowing how to start.

Seeing her dithering, An Nan snorted coldly, grabbed her head, and shoved her face directly into the pile.

Li Guifen’s face was smeared with excrement, and An Nan’s icy voice sounded in her ear:

“Grab it tight. If you don’t finish eating in one minute, I’ll go kill your precious son.”

Hearing this, Li Guifen seemed to be pressed with a fast-forward button and immediately started gobbling it down, stuffing it into her mouth while gagging, forcing herself to swallow.

An Nan felt disgusted watching and quickly stepped back.

Soon, the ground was licked clean by Li Guifen.

An Nan glanced at her mean and filthy face, still feeling unsatisfied.

She lowered her head in thought for a moment, then as if she’d thought of something, said, “You, go home now, clean yourself up, and then come back.”

Li Guifen eyed her warily. “I already did what you asked… I ate it all. What more do you want?”

An Nan curled her lips. “I want to give you food. What, you don’t want it?”

Li Guifen immediately crawled forward a few steps. “I do! I do!”

Seeing her face covered in filth, An Nan stepped further back. “Then hurry up and get lost! Do as I say!”

Li Guifen thanked her profusely and left.

She didn’t understand why An Nan wanted to give her food, or why she had to clean herself up first, but she obediently did as told.

After cleaning herself thoroughly, she returned to the fourteenth floor and knocked on the door.

This time, the door opened quickly.

An Nan was holding a heavy box. “What are you standing there for? Come help!”

Li Guifen thought she was just being made to do some heavy lifting, so she happily went over to help.

“Pretty girl, when will you give me the food you promised?”

An Nan glanced at her. “Move all these things downstairs first, then you’ll get it.”

She added, “Be careful. If you break anything, you get nothing!”

Li Guifen nodded and bowed in agreement.

Though she was covered in internal injuries from An Nan’s earlier beating, and her shoulder was still bleeding, she was still delighted to work in exchange for food.

Once she finished moving the stuff, her son wouldn’t have to go hungry!

Her motherly love gave her strength, and she managed to haul the heavy boxes downstairs.

By now, night had fallen, and people were starting to come out and move around.

An Nan directed Li Guifen to move the items to the main path out of the complex, the busiest spot.

Then, keeping her promise, she rewarded the old woman with a box of biscuits.

Li Guifen was about to rush home with the biscuits, but An Nan grabbed her.

The old lady grew anxious. “What else do you want? I need to bring these to my son!”

An Nan pulled out an extra-long rope from the box. “No rush. I’m not done yet.”

Very soon, Li Guifen understood why An Nan had made her clean up so thoroughly.

—Because she was going to tie her up!

Li Guifen struggled desperately. “What are you doing? Let me go!”

But she was no match for An Nan’s strength and was quickly bound tightly and hoisted up.

Li Guifen used all her strength but couldn’t break free, so she could only beg for mercy.

“Please, let me go! My son is still at home waiting for me to bring him food!”

An Nan ignored her and busied herself with her own tasks.

After a while, everything was ready. She shot Li Guifen a “good luck” smile and turned to leave.

Li Guifen twisted her head and glanced at what An Nan had set up beside her—and her face instantly turned green.

She struggled and shouted, “You little brat! Put me down right now!”

But An Nan didn’t come back. Instead, the commotion attracted other residents, who gathered around, whispering and growing in number…

15th floor.

Zhao Ping’an burst into his home in a rush.

“Mom! Where are you? Come out!”

Hu Cuilan came out of the bedroom, frowning. “What are you yelling for?”

Zhao Ping’an was so out of breath he could barely speak, grinning from ear to ear. “Let me tell you—hahaha!”

Hu Cuilan looked at him, baffled. “Spit it out! What’s so funny? Weren’t you out looking for machine parts? Why are you back so suddenly?”

Zhao Ping’an was laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes. “Forget it, I can’t explain. Hurry and change, come out with me!”

Soon, the bewildered Hu Cuilan was dragged out of the building by her son, running all the way.

“Hey, slow down, you little rascal! Why are you running?”

Before Zhao Ping’an could explain, a burst of music sounded not far away:

“Come on, work hard! Pooping takes effort! If you can’t poop, it’s okay, at least let out a fart! Pfft~”

Ahead, a large crowd had gathered, and that bizarre song was coming from there.

Zhao Ping’an pulled his mom forward, squeezing through.

“Excuse me, let us through.”

“Sorry, let us get by.”

When her son finally pulled her to the front of the crowd, Hu Cuilan could see what was happening.

There was Li Guifen, tied up and hanging, with a huge screen next to her looping a video."
