Chapter 95: Chapter 95: So Many Fish
Reborn in the 1980s Becoming the Group's Darling Little Lucky Treasure
Looking at the lush, swaying water plants drifting with the current, Xu Shuhua was so frightened that her face turned pale. She hugged Yu Nuannuan even tighter.
What should we do now?!
If there was no one else around, it wouldn't be a big deal, but not far away, Yu Jiang and the others were all there!
If they just turned their heads, they'd immediately notice something was wrong over here.
Yu Nuannuan was startled as well. She hadn't meant to grab the water plants at all—it was the water plants that drifted over and bumped into her hand.
Yu Nuannuan felt completely innocent, but she couldn't exactly pull out the water plants and give them a beating.
Not to mention beating them up, Yu Nuannuan had already pulled her hand out of the water, afraid she might accidentally touch the water plants again.
Xu Shuhua was so nervous that she didn't even notice Yu Nuannuan's actions.
She was busy trying to figure out what to do.
Before Xu Shuhua could come up with a solution, she suddenly saw a school of fish swimming in from all directions.
At first, it was all tiny fish fry, a dense black mass of little fish that made her skin crawl just looking at them.
But before long, bigger fish started to arrive.
Clearly, all these fish were coming for the water plants. As soon as they got there, they started eating the plants.
Yu Nuannuan and Xu Shuhua stared at the scene, dumbfounded.
Just then, Yu Wei noticed something was off.
""Why are all those little fish swimming away? Where are they going?""
As he spoke, Yu Wei followed the direction the fish were swimming and saw Xu Shuhua squatting by the water, holding Yu Nuannuan, looking stunned. ""Grandma, what are you looking at? Are there a lot of fish over there?""
From several meters away, and with Yu Wei not being very tall, all he could see was that the water over there looked darker, with lots of shadows darting around. He couldn't make out exactly what was happening.
Yu Hai and the others heard Yu Wei and looked over toward Xu Shuhua as well.
The four Yu brothers were standing higher up and could see farther. With just one glance, they saw what was going on.
So many fish!
So, so many fish!
Yu Jiang was stunned for just a moment before quickly calling out to his three younger brothers, ""What are you all standing around for? Second and third, go home and get some basins and buckets! Hurry up! Fourth, come with me to catch fish! Wei, take your little brothers up to the bank!""
Yu Wei had come today specifically to catch fish, so when he heard Yu Jiang say it was time, he was eager to join in. ""Dad, I want to catch fish too!""
Yu Jiang raised his eyebrows. ""Do you want to eat them or catch them?""
""Eat them!""
He didn't even have to think before answering. Then he called his little brothers up onto the bank. Not bothering to put on shoes, he tiptoed barefoot over the stones, carefully making his way toward Xu Shuhua.
Yu Jiang and Yu Hai moved even faster, reaching the spot where the fish were in no time.
The fish didn't seem to notice their arrival at all and continued to gather there.
Seeing this, Yu Jiang and Yu Hai didn't have time to wonder why the fish weren't fleeing. Yu Jiang grabbed a bucket with both hands and scooped it straight into the water.
When he lifted the bucket, there was water—and fish—inside.
Yu Hai reacted quickly and said to Yu Jiang, ""Big Brother, dump them out on the bank, a little farther away. Wei, you and your brothers keep watch—don't let the fish flop back into the water!""
The bank was covered in stones. Yu Jiang carried the bucket a few steps and dumped all the fish out.
The water seeped into the cracks between the stones, leaving the fish—big and small—flopping on the rocks.
It was the first time the six Yu Wei brothers had ever seen so many fish. They were all incredibly excited, surrounding the fish and running over to grab any that tried to jump away."
