Chapter 193: The Most Notorious Villain
Big Boss Builds Infrastructure in the Interstellar Era
Shen Tu’s eyes brimmed with tears. “Miss Yun, you’re such a good person!”
Cradling the bowl of meat soup—now with two extra pieces of meat—he found a random spot nearby, squatted down, and started drinking.
The first sip stunned him; the broth was both fresh and rich. He took a bite of the meat—wow, it was insanely fragrant!
What kind of divine meat was this? It tasted even better than the mutated beast meat he’d brought back from Senmu Marsh.
Moved to the core, Shen Tu gnawed on the meat, his spirits soaring. The chieftain—he had to let the chieftain try this meat too.
After carefully finishing the soup, Shen Tu turned to look at Yun Qimu, who was casually sitting on a small wooden stool, chatting with the girls. He shamelessly scooted over, eyes shining with hope. “Miss Yun, are you selling this meat?”
Yun Qimu raised an eyebrow at him and chuckled. “Sorry, I already invited the villagers for a barbecue when I went back home, so I didn’t bring much meat this time—just enough for us to have a few meals. I’m not planning to sell any.”
“Oh.” Shen Tu’s head drooped instantly, and he squatted in the corner, looking as pitiful as a big dog who didn’t get a bone—utterly dejected.
The girls couldn’t help but laugh.
Who in Chaos City didn’t know Shen Tu from Red Lotus Fort? He and the bloodthirsty Kui Hu were both the intimidating faces of their war band.
Usually, whenever his name came up, people pictured someone fierce and untouchable—a real force to be reckoned with.
But look at him now—he was nothing like the infamous “number one villain” under Chief Yi of Red Lotus Fort.
A few girls who liked muscular men even found him kind of cute.
Was this what they called “gap moe”? Honestly, this big guy’s pitiful look was even more striking than when the girls acted aggrieved.
Even Yun Qimu started to feel like she was bullying him.
“How about I give you a piece?” Yun Qimu offered tentatively.
Shen Tu’s eyes lit up instantly, and he beamed as he scooted over. “Thank you, Miss Yun! I knew you cared about our chieftain. But I can’t just take your meat for free—just deduct the energy coins from my commission.”
“Care about your chieftain?” Yun Qimu was puzzled. “Where’d you get that idea?”
Shen Tu scratched his head and grinned sheepishly. “I’m taking this meat back to help the chieftain recover. Isn’t that caring for our chieftain?”
Well, that was sort of an explanation, but the logic was a bit off.
Of course, Yun Qimu had no idea that this big, goofy guy was already scheming in his heart to play matchmaker between her and Yi Beimeng. She didn’t press the issue and just nodded, then started calculating the commissions with the girls.
First up was Shen Tu, who’d contributed the most.
“You helped Mr. Kui Hai and me sell a total of eighteen green frost stones, with profits ranging from two thousand to eighty thousand per stone. According to the split I discussed with Vivi and the others, you get one percent of the profits. Since you and Vivi, Amei, and the others worked together, I decided to give them a small share too. So, your final commission is 3,000 energy coins. If you have any doubts, you can go to Miao Bei and have him show you the accounts.”
Yun Qimu pulled a cloth pouch of energy coins from her spatial button and handed it to him.
Shen Tu’s eyes sparkled as he grabbed the pouch and slung it over his shoulder, grinning. “No need to trouble Brother Miao Bei. I trust you, Miss Yun. If you say it’s three thousand, then it’s three thousand.”
Yun Qimu was pleased with his straightforwardness and handed him a piece of meat as long as his forearm. “Consider this meat a reward for your contribution today.”
When Shen Tu tried to refuse, Yun Qimu pretended to be annoyed. “This isn’t some shady shop, and I’m not a stingy boss. Rewards and punishments should be clear.”
Vivi and the other ten girls nodded in agreement. “Mu-mu’s right.”
Amei chimed in, “Just take it, Brother Tu. Mu-mu is fair with rewards and punishments. If you feel bad, just bring her more business next time.”
“Alright, then I’ll accept it.” Shen Tu wasn’t good at this back-and-forth, and since everyone insisted, he didn’t argue. In his heart, he thought, Miss Yun really is a good person. He had to help her rope in—no, bring more customers her way.
Seeing this, Amei breathed a sigh of relief, then turned to Yun Qimu and asked carefully, “I heard you got a batch of healing medicine. Could you sell us some? Our chieftain is injured and needs treatment.”
Shen Tu perked up—right, there was that too.
The chieftain needed healing medicine even more than meat.
He looked at Yun Qimu anxiously, cursing himself for not thinking of it earlier. The chief’s wife was more thoughtful than he was, always worrying about the chieftain’s injuries.
Yun Qimu raised an eyebrow and smiled. “You’re well-informed. I did bring a batch of life-saving healing potions.”
She figured since Kui Hai and the others had returned from Earth Village with red medicine and other life-saving items, there was no need to keep it a secret. She hadn’t gone out of her way to spread the news, but she hadn’t forbidden it either. She didn’t expect word to get out so fast—so much for Longteng being airtight.
Yun Qimu took out a vial of red potion and introduced it with a smile. “This is a healing potion from our village called Red Medicine. It’s not limited to any particular ailment—just drink it, and most negative effects on your body will disappear. For external wounds, one vial will have you healed by the next day. For internal injuries, it’s also very effective, but the exact results depend on the injury.”
Everyone’s eyes lit up.
“There’s really such a potion?”
Shen Tu was excited. “That’s exactly what our chieftain needs! Miss Yun, how much is it?”
Yun Qimu smiled. “Since we’re friends, I’ll let you have it for 2,500 energy coins. Normally, I’d charge 3,000.”
Shen Tu was moved to tears and immediately set down his pouch, shouting, “I’ll take one!”
He counted out five hundred coins for himself, put them in his own purse, and handed the remaining 2,500 energy coins back to Yun Qimu.
Just like that, most of the energy coins ended up back in Yun Qimu’s pocket.
Yun Qimu smiled, taking the money with one hand and handing over the medicine with the other.
Deal done.
Shen Tu didn’t bother going off to crack green frost stones for more energy coins. He tucked the red medicine away and dashed off toward Red Lotus Fort—he had to get the medicine to the chieftain right away."
