Chapter 119: Don’t Mess With Women

Natural Disasters and the End of the World

At this moment, Sun Peng was in unbearable pain. All four of his limbs were useless—he was better off dead.

He would have preferred a bullet to the head, a quick end to his suffering.

Gritting his teeth through the agony, he forced a twisted smile at Chu Peipei.

“That’s right. Not just your husband—your child too. I was the one behind it. The people who caused your miscarriage? I put them up to it.”

He gave a smug, infuriating grin. “It was me. I ruined your whole family! So, Chu Peipei, do you hate me now? If you’ve got the guts, kill me. Take revenge for your husband and your child…”

Chu Peipei was enraged by his words. Thinking of her unborn child, her eyes turned red with fury.

“I’ll kill you!!”

She raised her gun, finger tightening on the trigger.

Sun Peng closed his eyes in satisfaction, waiting for release.

But just then, as if something occurred to her, Chu Peipei lowered the gun.

She kicked Sun Peng. “You want to die that badly, you fat bastard?”

Sun Peng’s eyes flew open to see Chu Peipei beaming at him.

“Don’t worry. I’m a professional surgeon—I’ll make sure you stay alive!”

Hearing this, Sun Peng’s face twisted in terror. He started shaking uncontrollably.

“Kill me… please, just kill me… I’m begging you, make it quick!”

Chu Peipei slapped him hard across the face, her expression cold and ruthless.

“Dream on!”

The slap was so vicious that it knocked the already battered Sun Peng unconscious.

Zhao Ping’an leaned in curiously. “Peipei, what are you planning to do with him?”

Chu Peipei glanced at the unconscious Sun Peng. “Obviously, I’ll stitch up all his wounds. Once they start to scab, I’ll tear them open and stitch them up again. Too bad medical supplies are limited—he’ll probably only last two weeks before he finally gets his release. Lucky him…”

She shrugged. “But that’s fine. I need some subjects for medical research anyway. His body will still be useful before it starts to rot.”

Lucky? Zhao Ping’an was stunned.

An Nan reminded her from the side, “Are you sure all his limbs are disabled? Better be careful. You might want to cut his tendons, or just finish off that last arm and both legs…”

Chu Peipei understood. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure he’s absolutely no threat.”

Zhao Ping’an broke out in a cold sweat.

When it comes to being ruthless, women really take the cake!

Never mess with a woman! And especially not a female doctor!

He glanced sympathetically at the blood-soaked Sun Peng on the ground. “Peipei, I’ve got some medicine at home. If you want, you can use it to make him suffer even longer.”

Unconscious, Sun Peng: …

Chu Peipei shook her head. “No need. Scum like him isn’t worth it.”

Medicine was precious and not to be wasted. Just being able to torment this beast was enough to vent her hatred.

Zhao Ping’an nodded, then turned to An Nan. “Idol, where’d you get that gun?”

Chu Peipei looked at her curiously too.

An Nan put on a mysterious air. The two of them immediately leaned in to listen.

“Found it,” she whispered.

Both were dumbfounded. “Found it?!”

You can just find something like that lying around?

“Yeah, found it at the police station. No one was taking it, so I brought it back.”

Chu Peipei: …

Zhao Ping’an: …

She really does have a knack for finding things!

Suddenly, Chu Peipei’s eyes lit up as if she remembered something. “No wonder you were going out every day recently—not looking for food or oil, but for this! If you only stockpile food and not guns, you’ll just end up as someone else’s pantry… Nan Nan, if you hadn’t found that gun, all the oil I worked so hard to collect would’ve been for nothing! You really do have foresight!”

Zhao Ping’an nodded in agreement. “That’s why you’re my idol!”

Seeing how excited they were, An Nan couldn’t help but smile too.

No wonder they were so happy—she herself was thrilled.

This was the first time she’d faced nearly two hundred enemies and come out unscathed, a complete victory. Of course she was happy.

She curled her lips into a smile. “Come on, let’s go finish things off.”

Before leaving, An Nan glanced at Wang Xiaoyu’s corpse, her eyes still open in death.

She really did trust the wrong person and got what she deserved.

Who knows, when she helped Sun Peng harm his wife, did she ever imagine she’d end up like this?

The three of them made sure all the villains were dead before turning to the mountain of supplies.

Both Chu Peipei and Zhao Ping’an looked to An Nan. “What about all this stuff…?”

After all, it was thanks to Nan Nan’s gun that they’d been able to wipe out the bad guys. Naturally, she should decide what to do with the loot.

An Nan didn’t hesitate. “We take it home. As much as we can carry!”

They’d paid for it in bullets—no way they were leaving it behind.

She wasn’t some kind of saint swooping in to save the day and hand out food to the neighbors.

She knew full well those same neighbors had just been hiding in their homes, hoping she’d get herself killed!

Zhao Ping’an and Chu Peipei grinned and nodded. “Alright, let’s move it!”

An Nan stood guard with her gun while Chu Peipei and Zhao Ping’an ferried supplies upstairs.

Aunt Hu came down to help, sorting the good food from the spoiled.

They prioritized water and medicine, then the unspoiled grains and sealed foods, and finally survival supplies like candles and alcohol.

As for homemade cockroach cakes and stinking snake meat, those were left behind.

Upstairs, the residents watched in frustration as the supplies they’d once owned were carried away, bit by bit.

Those were things Sun Peng had stolen from them!

Why were these people taking it all for themselves?

They’d thought these young women would be kinder than the thugs, but turns out they were just as greedy!

They cursed and fumed in their apartments, but none dared go downstairs to confront An Nan and her gun.

As the supplies dwindled, a third of the pile was soon gone.

Finally, a few bolder residents ventured downstairs.

An Nan stood at the entrance, gun in hand, as a couple from the building across the way came out and bowed deeply to her, three times.

“Thank you, goddess, for ridding our community of those thugs! You’re beautiful and kind!”

An Nan raised an eyebrow.

Trying to butter her up right away?

She folded her arms and watched them perform, saying nothing.

The couple exchanged nervous glances and continued to flatter her.

“That Sun Peng was a monster. Not only did he steal our food, he tried to drag you down with him! Thank goodness justice prevailed—you’re the embodiment of righteousness!”

When they said “our food,” they emphasized the words, watching An Nan for a reaction.

But An Nan didn’t respond, just stood there with a look that said, “Are you done? If so, don’t bother me anymore.”

They gritted their teeth, finally getting to the point."
