Chapter 66: The Living King of Hell
Natural Disasters and the End of the World
Up ahead, not far away, seven boats had gathered together.
Five inflatable kayaks were surrounding a motorized assault boat and another kayak.
“Damn it, are you nuts? Thought the whole boat was loaded with supplies, turns out it’s all fertilizer?!”
“The only thing useful on the whole boat is a dog, and it’s a tiny one. Not even enough for us to fill the gaps between our teeth!”
“Bro… I want that woman. She’s hot!”
“The one next to her’s not bad either!”
“I like that guy…”
A group of people were loudly discussing as if no one else was around, while the three people on the assault boat stayed silent.
It was An Nan and her two companions.
Chu Peipei glanced at their empty boat and spoke impatiently, “Cut the crap! Get lost, now!”
There was nothing on their boat. What were these people even trying to rob?
What a waste of her time.
“Oh, listen to her!”
Seeing her talk tough, the group couldn’t wait any longer and rushed over.
Realizing things wouldn’t end peacefully, An Nan, who had been silent all this time, stood up. For some reason, she’d been feeling a restless anger all day.
Now, seeing a few of the men across from her grinning at her in a lecherous way, that anger only burned hotter.
What are you looking at?
Never seen a beauty before?
Pathetic!
She revved up her chainsaw, grabbed the nearest one, and sliced half his body off in one go.
In an instant, red liquid sprayed everywhere.
The rest of the gang, holding rusty kitchen knives, were stunned by the scene. Those closest instinctively backed away.
But An Nan didn’t give them the chance. She grabbed another one, this time aiming straight for his neck.
“Was it you just now, saying you wanted me?”
The man was shaking like a leaf, lips trembling as he tried to defend himself, but in the next second, his head was separated from his body.
The roar of the chainsaw was deafening.
Amid the mist of blood, the young thugs were scared out of their wits.
An Nan couldn’t be bothered to scare them further. Finding the chainsaw too bulky, she turned it off and switched to her trusty tri-edged bayonet.
One stab for each, straight to the throat.
Not only were the robbers terrified, even her teammates behind her were stunned.
Chu Peipei and Zhao Ping’an watched in confusion as she slaughtered her way through the crowd.
For some reason, An Nan wasn’t playing it safe like she usually did today. Instead, she was aggressively taking the fight to the enemy.
She jumped onto the other boats without a care, grabbing people like they were chicks and dispatching them on the spot.
Now, wielding her bayonet, she darted around, stabbing left and right, her movements so fast she was almost a blur.
Chu Peipei barely had to do anything. She fired her nail gun a few times out of boredom, then just watched An Nan do her thing.
Her eyes unconsciously filled with envy.
“Zhao Ping’an, doesn’t An Nan look just like one of those martial arts masters from TV dramas? Did you see how she dodged just now? Do you think she knows lightness skill? If I took her as my master, could I get that strong too?”
Zhao Ping’an was a bit calmer than her. “There’s a reason idols are idols—they’re not so easy to imitate or surpass. Look at her speed and reflexes. Normal people could never reach that. Everyone has their own path. She never said she’d teach you medicine, did she?”
Chu Peipei nodded. “That’s true. I’d better focus on improving my medical skills…”
On another boat, Long Cong’an recognized An Nan and her group and immediately steered his boat over.
“Boss Gu, that’s Miss An Nan being attacked! Shouldn’t we go help?”
“No need.”
Gu Zhiyu watched the girl slaughtering her enemies with great interest.
She was like a tiger, wielding her chainsaw. As if killing with it wasn’t enough, she switched to a bayonet, taking someone down every five seconds.
Did she look like she needed help?
In the midst of the fight, the girl’s hair tie snapped, and her long, silky hair flew in the wind.
She spun around and kicked the last man into the water.
Standing there, a few drops of bright red blood on her pale skin made her look both beautiful and deadly.
Gu Zhiyu’s Adam’s apple bobbed. For a moment, he couldn’t look away.
He’d seen plenty of beautiful women before.
Gentle, elegant, sexy, sweet… He was long used to it.
But a decisive, ruthless “living King of Hell”—this was a first.
Seeing An Nan finish off the group so cleanly, Long Cong’an cheered as he steered the boat closer.
“Savior! You’re amazing!!”
An Nan had just caught her breath when she heard Long Cong’an shouting.
She looked up and saw the familiar assault boat heading their way.
The boat quickly pulled up. Just as everyone was about to greet each other, the dog, Fugui, suddenly started barking again.
“Woof woof woof! Woof woof woof woof!”
Ahhh, handsome brother, are you here to save the damsel in distress?
Excited, the dog jumped onto the other boat again.
As soon as it landed, it dashed straight to Gu Zhiyu, buried its head in his arms, and whimpered pitifully.
So many bad guys just now! I was so scared!
Gu Zhiyu chuckled, hugging the dog and stroking its back to comfort it.
The dog basked in the attention, still putting on a pitiful act.
An Nan: …
Shameless dog!
That’s enough!
She didn’t even know where to put her face.
Noticing her discomfort, Gu Zhiyu looked up at her.
His eyelashes were long, half-shadowing his eyes so she couldn’t read his expression.
An Nan’s heart suddenly tightened.
Damn it, that strange, out-of-control feeling was back.
It must be because the dog was too naughty!
She looked down at the ten-meter retractable leash in her hand and silently decided to switch to a short, non-retractable one next time.
This dumb dog used to get winded after two steps, and now it could sprint into a stranger’s arms to act cute?
So annoying.
Long Cong’an found Fugui’s antics adorable and reached out to pet him.
The dog immediately turned its head away haughtily.
Go away! Don’t interrupt my reunion with the handsome guy!
Chu Peipei saw him get snubbed by the dog and burst out laughing.
“I was just jealous earlier! Fugui barely paid attention to me this morning, but he’s all over you guys. Turns out I get the same treatment as you! Hahaha, what a little flirt.”
An Nan, feeling like she’d failed as a dog owner, called out in a low voice, “An Fugui, time to go home.”
Despite being a little pervert, Fugui was still loyal to his owner. At her call, he reluctantly left Gu Zhiyu’s arms, drooping his head as he returned to his own boat and sat by An Nan’s feet, looking up at her.
Big Sis Nan, aren’t we taking that handsome guy home with us?
An Nan ignored his hopeful puppy eyes and calmly said goodbye to Long Cong’an and Gu Zhiyu.
After they left, Long Cong’an clicked his tongue at the pile of bodies floating in the water.
“Boss Gu, didn’t I say she’s not just beautiful and kind, but also a real fighter?”
“Mhm. She’s very beautiful.”
Long Cong’an: …
You old perv! Was that really the point of what I just said?"
